"Reddit goes against it's own ToS"
Reddit can be surmised as the only site with ToS that doesn't respect it's own ToS.
My account was various times suspended or temporarily banned because some comments perfectly respecting the terms "went against the ToS". Reddit will use this excuse to delete every content doesn't align with their inner libertarianism that they will keep afloat with dictatorial efficiency.
You can't express ideas, you can't discuss at all.
If not the admins or the mods, other people will downvote you for no reason at all if not the fact you didn't follow the "Reddit hivemind" like is some sort of Both society that tries to be illuminating.
Reddit tries to be absolutely society piloting, but is just some site where people will amplificate each other leaving no newcomenrs inside.
"It's a decent site but I was so irritated w/a msg, I deleted my account"
I used it frequently for reviews in my area. It was helpful. After months of just looking, I signed up. Compared to twit and fb, it's great and I only had a couple of posts where I was called a name but I didn't report it... reddit allows it and for petty name calling, I left the users alone. It's a massive site and fairly well organized. But like any social media site, there are strange issues. The self-harm reporting, however, is too often used for "revenge" per those who have been reported.
I was reported for possible self-harm and fortunately, that's not true. I received an autobot response from Reddit saying I could respond with DONT (something like that - that would close the case). I was so angry that I explained what happened and found a page on reddit (after I trashed my account) that said people use that "reddit cares" option to get rid of the user. It worked with me and not others. So, I regret deleting my account.
I have political views for maintaining our democratic republic and there's no doubt one of the commenters decided to attack me indirectly.
In anger, due to the outrageous report, I "trashed" my account (I could've stayed on). I just want to caution others about this one feature. Use it with care. It's still a lot more sane than other social media sites.

"Reddit is woke and full of hypocrites"
Firstly, "This page looks better on the app." on phones and tablets should go away. It's annoying.
Secondly, I know that reddit is an extreme leftist site but I still wanted to use it.
If you comment something that people don't like, for example, disagreeing with the person who posted something or replying to others, you get downvotes.
Even just typing "Okay" after someone has replied to your comment with unnecessary words telling you how wrong you are and you should agree with them, you get downvotes, JUST BY REPLYING "Okay.".
You can't even defend yourself.
Sometimes, you get banned.
Also, some people can do something and it's okay, but when you do it also, you get banned.
Thirdly, the subreddit called 'Christianity' is full of atheists and fake Christians. If you talk about the truth of the Bible, they downvote you because they prefer to cherry-pick the Bible and read fake versions of the Bible.
You have a flair that says something like, "Transgender Christian"?
How are you a "Transgender Christian" if GOD hates LGBTQ+?
That subreddit should be abolished.

"Online harassment and bullying"
REDDIT is ok with online harrassment, bullying and personal attacks on others.
The site should be policed sine it allows others to personally attack others and some of the moderators celebrate the bullying
"The most toxic place on the internet"
It's just bad. Community, moderators, the app and the rules. They are bigger nazis than actual nazis.

"Won't answer your questions unless you have enough karma"
Well I can always ask elsewhere for free.
It tells you to get more "karma".
Problem here is we can go elsewhere for a quicker answer

"Terrible, to put it bluntly"
To put it bluntly, Reddit is not a great place. Terrible for newcomers, it is a community that thinks it is larger and more influential than it truly is.
Discussion is largely dead. People will largely make some sort of hateful comment toward a person/place/thing, some sort of joke comment, a movie/game/show quote, or parrot some sort of unfounded Reddit talking point.
In 'discussions', people with downvote (dislike) your comment if it doesn't align with their worldview, regardless of the citation of facts and figures to back up your statement, and most often providing no citations to back up their own statements. Redditors will often call you a shill/bot/troll/tankie for having an opinion or presenting information that differs from their own.
Misinformation and outright lies are parroted throughout Reddit, largely due to the way particular topics have their own separate communities (subreddits). This results in an echochamber of sorts.
The best thing you can do if you choose to use this platform is stick to the smaller communities. It's probably best not to comment on or engage in conversations/discussions with others. I say this as Reddit is one of the worst platforms for newcomers - people are largely hostile, or simply repeat some movie/game/show quote, or provide some sort of joke as an answer for most things.
Perhaps what Reddit does best is demonstrate the need for greater investment in education and mental health supports.

"Censorship"
This site has so much censorship, abusive moderators, and useless administrators. The karma system is flawed. The messages system is poor. Their app is weak. This is just another Facebook.

Is a joke...amazing when you make people
Moderators (little power) and they become keyboards gangsters. I was commenting in this forum and many times its the dumbest comments so because its not that serious to me, I often commented "lol", "haha" etc so the little moderator banned me saying I gave no advice and was useless. Wait you are sitting behind a computer and not a real job with benefits, PTO etc and I'm useless?Lord help us lol

"I've been using Reddit for almost 3…"
I've been using Reddit for almost 3 years
it is very easy for mods to create a bubble
Anyone who doesn't agree with the Mods or has a different opinion can simply be banned without violating a rule
In my case, the mod thought that I had a different political attitude(we even have the same one), which is not the case, but the slightest suspicion is enough and you're permaban
He is so extremist that even the smallest deviation leads to a ban
Reddit itself doesn't do anything about mods abusing their power, even if you write to support you only get a generic unindicative answer from a person (but that's 100% a bot) and nothing further is done
I think that's particularly dangerous nowadays when a few can suppress the opinion of many and the platform itself doesn't do anything about it
stay away from this platform or just use ist for memes
anything else...............you should be in line with the mods agenda or ban
UPDATE:I made it clear to support that I would write a negative review and a 7-day ban was the answer
